Terms & Conditions

A. BOOKING YOUR TRIP

You can reserve a trip with Travelista Peru by contacting us via our or email, info@travelistaperu.com, or by Whatapp on 51935681132Once we receive your approval,  we will ask that you make a deposit for your trip. Accepting the tour and paying the deposit is the agreement to the terms and conditions specified in this document.

B. TRIP DEPOSIT

Due to the nature of our trip development process, we require an initial deposit of 50% of the total tour package cost, within three days of the approval of the tour.  This deposit is payable by WETravel account, please ask your travel advisor for detail. The travel arrangements will be confirmed when we receive this initial deposit.

C. PAYING YOUR BALANCE

The trip balance is payable 90 days before the trip to our WETravel account, please ask your travel advisor for details. If you have booked fewer than 89 days before your travel date, full payment will be due within five days of your approval of your group tour.

Delayed payment of the balance may result in changes to your initial tour arrangements due to the availability of tickets, and services, among others. Or, in extreme cases, this delayed payment can result in the cancellation of your trip.

D. CANCELLATION/REFUNDS

We understand that certain circumstances may arise in which clients are not able to travel on their original  dates. For this reason, if we receive written email notice of your desire to cancel your reservation, the following conditions will occur:

  1. 60 days before of tour begins, some of the amount paid may be refunded. The non-refund costs are the tickets to Machu Picchu, train tickets to the citadel, and the $200.00 agency administrative fee.
  2. 45 days before of tour begins, the amount paid may be refunded. The non-refund costs are the tickets to Machu Picchu, train tickets to the citadel, hotel reservation expenses, domestical flight tickets and the $300.00 agency administrative fee.
  3. 30 days before of tour begins, we will be forced to apply the No-Show penalty, without any refund. In this sense, we recommend you the contracting of a travel insurance arranged by yourself, which is not offered or sold by our agency. This insurance can cover you in this eventual situation.
  4. Please note that any refund will be made 30 days after the programed travel initial date. In addition, the agency will make the refund excepting any fees, taxes and bank commissions that may be generated by this process.
  5. Travelista Peru does not provide travel insurance, and approval of one of our trips in no way implies that you or your travel companions will be insured by us. Please, in this regard, we strongly recommend that you purchase on your own a single-trip travel insurance policy within 15 days prior the start of your tour contracted with us. Travel insurance reimburses you for air and land costs should you have to cancel your trip due to a personal or family emergency. Emergency medical evacuation insurance and emergency medical expense coverage are also strongly recommended. For all these reasons, it is imperative to have high-quality travel insurance before embarking on your journey to Peru.
  6. You will need to send us a scanned copy of your travel insurance within 15 days before your tour begins. Otherwise, we will not be able to serve you properly. This travel insurance will be a guarantee for you and for us that your experiences with Travelista Peru will be supported in all aspects.

PREPARING FOR YOUR TRIP

A. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

It is your responsibility to obtain the appropriate documents, including passports, visas, tourist cards, and immunizations required for the country or countries you are visiting.
Please note the following: We will use the passport information you provide for us in your booking form to reserve hotels, flights, and the Inca Trail (where it is applicable). If you changed or renewed your passport, please be sure to carry the old passport and the new one. Or, if it is not possible to carry both, you must notify us of the new passport number 90 days prior to your trip, in order to avoid later confusions in your bookings.

B. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

Please contact your local health board for immunization requirements for different countries’ entrances. You can also find information at www.cdc.gov/travel on the required immunizations site. Some immunizations require up to one month for taking effect;  you may be required to receive immunizations or sign a release form when visiting certain zones. You are responsible for obtaining this information before traveling and supplying us with any health information pertaining to conditions you may have that may affect your ability to travel and/or that may pose a danger to yourself or others. Please if you feel you need medication for altitude please ask your medical practitioner. All Travelista tour travel to high altitude locations.

People or persons over the age of 70 years are required to supply a medical certificate from a licensed medical practitioner. This must be supplied to Travelista on booking of the tour package.

HOW THIS WORKS

A. TRAVEL IN LATIN AMERICA

Standards, practices, and customs in Latin America differ from those in your home country. Travelista Peru at all times delivers a superior standard of quality, and always seeks the highest quality accommodations, transportation, food, and supplies available in any of the regions you visit. However, in high-altitude locations and remote jungle regions, you may be tested by unfavorable conditions that may make you feel out of your comfort zone. These conditions may be adverse weather conditions or poor levels of tourism infrastructure. In other words, conditions that are out of our hands and out of our programming. Even in the best-planned itineraries, there may be moments of discomfort, and plans can go wrong. Therefore, clients accepting an itinerary from TravelistaPeru are agreeing to accept full responsibility for themselves  on their trip approved and in no way to hold TravelistPeru responsible in the event of annoyances, delays, or anything caused by natural disasters, inclement weather, acts of terrorism, criminal activity, strikes, illness, transportation failures, and other causes beyond our control. TravelistaPeru will not be responsible for additional hotel nights and other expenses that may be required due to the previously mentioned causes, also airline changes and delays prior to and after a trip. TravelistaPeru cannot assume any responsibility for loss or damage to personal baggage. In certain instances we have to change the advertised itinerary and accommodations due to high demand or events beyond our control.

B. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE

Travelista Peru does not own, operate, control, supervise or manage any of the suppliers of transportation, airlines and operators, accommodations, food and goods, and related travel services provided. Also, to the tour participant, TravelistaPeru is not liable for any injury, damage, loss, inconvenience, irregularity, or delay resulting, directly or indirectly, from fortuitous acts, detention, quarantines, civil disturbance, criminal activity, government regulations, etc. over which it has no control. Because of this, it is necessary that the tour participant let us know about any abnormal circumstances that might affect the normal development of their trip; in this way, we will be able to act together to solve any problems.
Travelista Peru does not assume any responsibility for loss or damage suffered by the luggage or personal belongings of tourists, during the provision of the service. Luggage and any other object that users carry with them are under their custody and responsibility.

Travelista Peru reserves the right to withdraw from the tour, accommodation, or other tourist services included in the package tour to any person who, for serious, duly proven cause, whether of a moral or disciplinary nature, threatens the tranquility and smooth running of the service in which they are located. Also, Machu Travel Peru will not assume any responsibility for legal or other issues that may be generated by the tourist’s actions and which are described in the first lines of this paragraph.

C. EXTERNAL PROBLEMS

Travelista Peru has a vast experience in the tourism industry, so we understand that unexpected situations could happen. So, in case of a pandemic, terrorism, earthquakes, or political problems, we will be happy to help you change your dates for a future trip, applying a re-quote according to the rules of the “Cancellations/Refunds” section. TravelistaPeru doesn’t offer cash refunds in case unpredictable situations happen.

D. CHILDREN ON TOURS

Travelista Peru is a woman’s only travel company. This this end, we only accept female children over the age of 15. This is to ensure the comfort and protection of our clients.

E. GROUP SIZES

Travelista Peru wants all our clients to have the best possible experience in Peru. Our groups have a minimum of 4 passengers up to a maximum of 12 passengers. The tour will be guaranteed departure with 4 passengers.

F. GUIDES

Travelista Peru ensures female professional tourists guides on all of our tours. In the occasion that there are no female guides available for the tour dates, there maybe on some occasions that a male guide may be needed to complete the tour. Travelista Peru does all that is possible to ensure that this does not occur on our tours.

G. MACHU PICCHU ENTRANCES

In recent years the laws around visiting Machu Picchu have changed. Entrances times are limited and there are now regulated routes that visit Machu Picchu. Travelista Peru does its best to ensure all our clients have the best entrances and time available. In certain instances, we may have to obtain less desirable entrances. This may occur in high season or late bookings.

H. DRINKS

On all tours drinks and beverages are not included in the price. These are the responsibility of the client to pay for their own drink.

I. RAINBOW MOUNTAIN ADD ON

On some tours there is time to include a visit to Rainbow Mountain, this is NOT included in the price of the tour. This is the responsibility of the client to pay for the tour. Sometimes the tour may include males from other tour groups. If you require a private tour than Travelista can book that for you.

J. TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travelista Peru requires that you purchase your own travel insurance. Please provide a copy of the travel insurance at least 2 weeks before the start of the tour.

K. PASSPORTS

All nations needs a passport to travel to Peru. Please ensure that you have at least 6 months validity as you maybe refused entry into Peru if your passport is about to expire. If you are in the process of getting a new passport when booking your tour, please provide us with a copy of your old passport to purchase tickets. When you receive your new passport please provide a copy of the new passport. To change tickets purchased with an old passport we will require a fee of $US20 for the change. On booking, please provide a copy of your passport

K. SPENDING MONEY

Travelista Peru does not cover spending money, please bring enough money you think you will need for drinks, snacks and souvenirs.

L. TIPPING

Our Travelista Peru staff are paid fairly. Although tipping is NOT compulsory on any tours, if you feel that the service you receive from Tour Guides, Drivers or any of our staff please feel free to do so.

M. FOOD

Please advise at the time of booking as to your preferences regarding meals. If you are vegetarian, vegan or just don’t like or eat something please advise at the time of booking. This is to ensure that we cater for your meal choices.

N. ACCOMMODATIONS

All Travelista Peru hotels are in central locations. We operate on a twin room basis. If you require a double room or a single room (this requires a single supplement payment) please advise at the time of booking.

O. DRIVERS

Travelista is a female only travel company. In Peru it is a rare occasion where you will find female drivers. Most of our drivers are male.

P. DEPARTURES

Travelista Peru guarantees departure when the tour has 4 passengers minimum. Our groups are up till 12 passengers maximum for better enjoyment of the tour.
